Pain is a personal issue that many of us have. It is usually associated with age, and there are not many people over the age of 40 years that have not experienced back pain (including lower back pain) or neck pain of some type.
Pain is the type of thing that we become used to. I didn't say that we liked it, just that we learn to live with it. We can change this, if we consider our lifestyle, our health and this amazing 21st century treatment. Now is the time to say goodbye to pain.
All processes in nature are part of a "cause-and effect" cycle. There is a continual war raging within our bodies between disease and our immune system. Nutrition, lifestyle, and environment all contribute in one way or another to either assist or supress our immune system.
Most diseases do not show themselves immediately, choosing to slowly, but inevitably take hold, before a person notices any symptoms. The strange part is that the average person does not normally notice these changes, until they suspect that they have a problem and seek medical help. Neck pain and back pain are not the only medical problems that people have. Arthritis in the joints, whether its ankle pain, or knee pain, or something more life-threatening.
Traditional medicine has not always been the only source of healing. Oriental medicine and other diverse approaches have been applied, all of them with varying amounts of success.
Neck pain back pain and arthitis pain seem to be rampant in the western world.
But a 21st Century approach, which provides a synergetic effect, draws on both current medical theory and traditional Chinese medicine. This approach supports the concept that, the human body is a sophisticated and finely tuned functional system, which continually maintains itself in balance (homeostasis). That is until something goes wrong.
Underlying this approach is the concept that organs and tissues of the human body are connected to certain points on the skin, which are called acupuncture points. These points react to the tiniest functional disorders in the body through the so-called meridian connections; they react long before organic changes are noticeable or detectable by conventional medicine.
The changes within these acupuncture points are exhibited by measurable differences within their magnetic field, temperature, electrical resistance, rate of biochemical reactions, cell composition, and their size. The so-called "Zakharyin-Gedd Zones" are only different when the disorders that are mapped to it are a problem.
So now we have methods, which allow us to identify problems, before they become serious. Likewise, these problems can be treated, using the same methodology that identified them.
The technology has had different names throughout its evolution, Scenar, Enar and Denas. It is the Denas DENS therapy that we now turn our attention to. From the original Denas device, other specialist products have been developed. The names are strange, but Denas stands for Dynamic Electro Neuro Adaptive Stimulation. It is easy to see that the DiaDENS range effectionately twists the words slightly to be Diagnostic Dynamic Electro Neuro Stimulation.
DENS technology uses a reflex response "BIOFEEDBACK" strategy to monitor changes in the body, and vary the treatment method and intensity in very specific ways according to the information that your body is giving to the device. It can sense areas of pain
This "BIOFEEDBACK" identifies the factors, which block the body's natural healing processes, and then restores lost connection between the central nervous system and internal organs. It is in this way that the we can vitalise the host immune defences of your body to be more active and switch on your body's self-recovery processes.
This is accomplished by stimulating the production of neuropeptides, which generate natural healing hormones, clearing and regulating nuero and energy pathways to restore the flow of energy and information, and applying the most applicable treatment that your body can ask for.
These models have CE certification and are included on the ARTG in Australia. In the late 90s DENS therapy spread into in UK, Canada, Holland, Hungary, Finland, USA and other countries around the word. A safe, non-invasive and recognised form of treatment.
In Australia, pilot study was carried out by the Department of Health and Chiropractic at Macquarie University on the effectiveness of Enar (one of the modification of Scenar devices) and TENS therapy on chronic neck pain.
Doctors, Specialists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Sport, Massage, Aroma and Beauty therapists, Naturopaths, Health practitioners, as well as people that don't have any specific medical knowledge can use this technology.
